Mess'rs Fowles, Please to insert in your paper, the
following Ode for Christmas Day, a day, which ought never to
be forgot, while salvation is dear.
[signed] Yours, &c. &c. A.B.
Hail, thou bless'd spirit, come and sing;
Thy heav'nly influences bring,
Our drooping souls inspire;
Let seraphs their sweet voices raise,
Let all creation join the lays,
And make one glorious choir.
He's come, the great Messiah's come!
So often by the prophets sung
With truth and conqu'ring grace.
