State of New Jersey.  An act to raise by voluntary
enlistment, eight hundred and twenty men, for the defence of
the frontiers of the state. . . . [2 paragraphs]
  In the county of Bergen, one hundred and twenty men, to be
divided into two companies consisting of sixty men each,
including three commissioned officers, three serjeants,
three corporals, one drummer, and three horsemen . . .
  In the county of Essex, two hundred and fifty-nine men . .
. four drummers . . . 
  In the county of Middlesex . . . one drummer . . . on the
south-side of the Raritan River . . . one drummer . . . 
  In the county of Sussex . . . one drummer . . .  [1/2

6.  And be it enacted by the authority aforesaid . . . shall
be entitled to receive while in service the following pay
per day . . . a drummer, three shillings and six-pence . . .
