Boston, Nov. 1. . . The same morning a large flag was hung
out on the pole at liberty-tree, and at 11 o'clock the bells
in the meeting-houses were rang and continued ringing till
12 o'clock, which collected about 500 people under liberty-
tree . . . the whole body proceeded into King-Street, where
the gentlemen were in a store accompanied by some others,
one or two of the committee informed them of their business,
and then proposed to adjourn back to liberty-tree . . .
