London, Nov. 10. A theatrical bon mot. When Mr. Colman was
manager of Covent Garden theatre, he happened to have a
violent quarrel with Mr. Yates. Dicky, who is not himself
six feet high, after bestowing some dozens of Bartholemew-
fair compliments on Mr. Colman and prating of his great
abilities and judgment, said to him, "You little
insignificant being, for three farthings I'd put you in my
pocket."--"Then (answered Mr. Colman) you'd have more wit in
your pocket than ever you had in your head."
