Mary Cowley takes this method to acquaint the gentlemen and
ladies, that she has again opened her school for dancing;
and as she has had the honor for more than twenty years back
of being employed by the principal and first people, she
flatters herself she has given general satisfaction, and
hopes such will again afford her all the encouragement they
can, and assures them she will pay all possible attention to
the instruction and improvement of every individual
committed to her charge. She begs particularly to be
remembered by those, who were under her tuition in their
younger days, and who are now parents, as they cannot be
unmindful of her vigilence, care, and advice. For a further
encouragement, and to promote her business, in that branch,
she has lessened her price. She teaches little misses three
times a week; her hours are from seven to nine in the
morning; the younger gentlemen the same hours, but not on
the same days. Public schools on Thursdays afternoon. No
evening school until September, when notice will be given.
Her school will be kept up with the greatest regularity and
good order, for which it used to be remarkable. Any
gentlemen or ladies who wish to be taught in private, may
have days and hours appointed agreeable to their minds. She
has the pleasing hopes of meeting with good encouragement,
and will respectfully acknowledge all favours.
N.B. Mrs. Cowley, at her house in the Church-Lane, has
exceeding good lodgings, and will be greatly obliged to any
travelling gentlemen or ladies for the favour of their
custom.
