(If the weather permits) VAUXHALL GARDEN. On Thursday the
22d inst. will be performed a magnificent set of FIRE-WORKS,
far exceeding any performance of the kind, ever exhibited in
this city. To be disposed of in the following order, I.
Firing. Eight rockets, which burst to snakes, serpents and
crackers. II. A singular wheel, which will represent a
Turk's Turban, with several changes of fire.
III. One wheel illuminated with different colours and
maroons. . . [5 other types of fireworks described in
detail] Music proper for the entertainment will be prepared.
To begin precisely at eight o'clock, ***Tickets to be had at
the door at 2 s. each. N.B. As Felix Fissour's encouragement
has been no ways adequate to his trouble and expence; he
begs leave to acquaint the ladies and gentlemen that this
will be the last time of his performance here. He humbly
thanks those ladies and gentlemen who have favoured him with
their company, and hopes they will continue their favours
one night longer--As there was many squibs thrown at the
last fire-works, to the great fright of the ladies,
constables will be placed there to prevent it.
