Citation | NYEP(D.745.009 24 Jun 1745:22 (31) Yesterday morning at six o'clock, a body of about sixty smugglers, arm'd with blunderbusses, pistols and cutlasses, with a hundred horses, unloaded, march'd in procession over London Bridge, and along the borough of Southwark, where they pick'd up a drummer whom they made to beat before them, and at Kent-street Turnpike, they fired at a sign of the Green Man till they shot it down, after which they marched on the Kentish road. |
