Mr. De Foreest;  Please to insert by way of answer to that
scandalous and unjust attack on Dr. Leslie, a gentleman
whose character, was it equally known here, as I am certain
it is in Great Britain, where his works are read with equal
admiration and pleasure, and whose capacity was never
doubted, till his arrive in this province, his enemies would
blush at their own folly, you will oblige your servant and
reader, [signed] Phalan-thropos.
  It pleases me that Pope unlaurel'd goes,
  While Colley Cibber's crown'd for play-house prose,
  Thus Britains monarch once uncovered sat,
  While Bradshaw bully'd in a broad brim'd hat.
