Wrote on the act lately passed in the Massachusetts
government, for making more effectual provision for the due
observation of the Lord's-Day; particularly the clause
relating to the beginning it on Saturday afternoons . the
whole being now strictly put in execution.
Ecce Lex Dei, & vide Lex Hominis!
In ancient days, 'twas God's most sacred will,
T'expound his laws, on Sinia's lofty hill,
Whose top terrific, issued clouds of smoke;
And thus amidst the flames, the great Eternal spoke;
