London. Extract of a letter from Dublin, January 20. I am
an Irishman, and was rejoiced to hear of the proceedings had
this week in the Honourable House of Commons, relative to
importing live cattle from Ireland, and hope it will be
carried into law,

In Dublin three thousand pigs were put on board one large
ship, in which I was to take my passage; but after a few
minutes walking the deck, and the crew preparing to weigh
anchor at George's Quay, about four thousand respectable
people forbid it. I was not much disappointed, having been
sufficiently tired with my company on board, and not
understanding music, I stept on shore, and was witness to
the pleasantest hunts over the adjoining fields ever
sportsman saw. The pigs all let loose, and catch as catch
can, proclaimed the leader of this,
