[Description of the public resignations of the Stamp Agents]
This was no sooner read, than followed by the most hearty
shouts of approbation: . . .
whereupon the air rang with the music of bells, drums,
hautboys, violins, huzza's, firing of cannon, &c. &c. and
the flag before-mentioned being carried before them, the
music continuing, they were conducted to Mr. Diston's
tavern, and after taken some refreshment there, to their own
houses.
