Citation | NYG(W.767.107 9-16 Nov 1767:31 (449) London, September 14. This morning Elizabeth Brownrigg was carried from Newgate to Tyburn, and there executed, pursuant to her sentence on Saturday last, for the murder of Mary Clifford, her apprentice. She behaved with great composure of mind, joining with the Minister in prayer, and singing an hymn-- was perhaps never exceeded at any execution. |
