Printing-Office, Albany November 2, 1782
Proposals for printing by subscription, (at this office) a
new and correct edition of the metre version of the Psalms,
which was published by the authority of the Scots and
English Assemblies of Divines, and Parliaments of both
Kingdoms, 1645, &c.
With a new preface, containing the history of said
version, and some explanatory notes, by some sound Divines.
Conditions.
I. The books to be printed on the same types and paper as
the proposals are.
II. The price to subscribers will be only six shillings,
three shillings to be paid at subscribing, the remainder on
the delivery of the books.
III. The books will be bound in leather, and ready for the
subscribers on or before the 1st day of May next.
IV. Those who subscribe for twelve, shall have a thirteenth
gratis.
V. The work will be put in the press, as soon as four
hundred are subscribed for, and published with the greatest
dispatch.
Subscriptions are taken in by Mr. Jonathan French, in
Cambridge, Mr. John Law, Mr. William Thomson, and Mr. Joseph
Welch, in New-Perth, Mr. John Shepherd, merchant, and Mr.
William Muir, clothier, in the city of Albany, Mr. Samuel
Mitchel, in Peterborough, Mr. Alexander Leal, in Watkill,
Ulster county, John Bell, Esq. in Derry, Mr. Robert Aitkin,
printer in Philadelphia, and at this office.
