Hanover, July 7. It is impossible to express the joy that
has been shewn here by all sorts of people, on account of
the victory gained lately by the Allies, under the command
of our most gracious sovereign, over the French. On the 2d
of this month the Roman Catholicks celebrated a
Thanksgiving, at their church in this city, with prodigious
pomp; and after celebrating high Mass, Moliter gave out Te
Deum, under the sound of kettledrums, trumpets, and a grand
symphony of soft music and fine voices. . .
