On Thursday evening next will be performed, the tragedy of
George Barnwell, to which will be added,
The Devil in the Wine-Cellar, for the benefit of Mrs. Davis;
who hopes as this play is granted to enable her to buy off
her time, that the ladies and gentlemen who are charitably
inclined, will favour her benefit; and their humble
petitioner, as in duty bound, shall ever pray.
On Monday next will be presented for the benefit of the
widow Osborne,
The Distrest Mother, with several entertainments, to which
will be added
The Beau in the Sudds.
As 'tis the first time this poor widow has had a benefit,
and having met with divers late hardships and misfortunes,
'tis hoped all charitable benevolent ladies and others will
favour her with their company.
