Hampstead-Plains, March 26, 1752. As the following ode
exhibits a real picture of modesty and virtuous love, being
drawn immediately from the life, by a gentleman who was
present at the marriage of Mr. David Algeo, merchant, in
New-York, and Miss Polly Martin, daughter to Josiah Martin,
Esq; of Queens County; the giving it a place in your paper,
may possibly be agreeable to your readers, and particularly
the fair part of them.
AN EXTEMPORE ODE ON THE MODEST BEHAVIOUR AND AGREEABLE
CONFUSION OF A YOUNG PAIR DURING THE SOLEMNIZATION OF THEIR
MARRIAGE.
