By permission of his excellency the governor.  By the
American company.  At the theatre in John-Street, this
evening, being Monday the 15th of February 1768, will be
presented a comedy, called
The Recruiting Officer.
Capt. Plume, by Mr. Hallam, Capt. Brazen, by Mr. Henry,
Justice Ballance, by Mr. Morris, Serjeant Kite, by Mr.
Douglass, Worthy, by Mr. Woolls, Bullock, by Mr. Tomlinson,
Recruits, by Mr. Allyn, Mr. Raworth, &c. Melinda, by Miss
Storer, Rose, by Miss Wainwright, Lucy, by Mrs. Harman,
Sylvia, by Miss Cheer, Singing by Mr. Woolls.
To which will be added, a farce, called, 
The Citizen.
The Citizen, by Mr. Wall, Young Wilding, by Mr. Henry, Old
Philpot, by Mr. Allyn, Sir Jasper, by Mr. Tomlinson,
Beaufort, by Mr. Woolls, Quildrive, by Mr. Malone, Dapper,
by Mr. Greville, Corinna, by Mrs. Tomlinson, Maria, by Miss
Wainwright. The epilogue between Mr. Wall and Mr. Allyn.
To begin exactly at six o'clock.  Vivant rex & regina.
No persons can, on any pretence whatsoever, be admitted
behind the scenes.
Tickets, without which no person can be admitted, are sold
at Mr. Gaine's in Hanover-Square, and of Mr. Lansdowne, at
Mr. Hayes's, in the area of the theatre, every morning from
nine till one, and after three every play night.
Places in the boxes may be taken of Mr. Broadbelt, at the
stage-door.  Boxes 8s.  Pit 5s.  Gallery 3s.
