By permission of his Excellency the governor. By the
American Company. At the Theatre in John-Street, this
evening, Monday the 27th of February, 1769, will be
presented, a comedy, called,
The Provok'd Husband, or A Journey to London.
With entertainments of singing, viz.
End of Act 3d, a favourite cantata, composed by Dr. Arne,
called Lydia, from Sappho, by Mr. Woolls.
Act 4th, The Bird, composed by Mr. Snow, by Mr. Woolls.
After the play,
Let's not Rage;
and between the acts of the farce,
The Soldier's tir'd of Wars Alarms, from the opera of
Artaxerxes, by Miss Hallam.
To which will be added, by desire,
The Mayor of Garrat.
The days of performance for the future, will be Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday. Tickets to be had at Hugh Gaine's, at
the Bible and Crown in Hanover-Square; and at Philip Miller,
watch-maker, in the Broadway.
