By permission of his Excellency the Governor. For the
benefit of Miss Cheer. By the American Company. At the
Theatre in John-Street, Monday next, the 24th of April,
1769, will be presented a tragedy, (acted there but once)
call'd,
Alexander the Great, or The Rival Queens.
After the play, Mr. Wall, will deliver a critical
dessertation on Noses; in which he will exhibit, a turning
up nose, a ruby nose, Roman nose, gluttons blunt nose, and
an hook'd nose.
A cantata of Dr. Arne's by Mr. Woolls.
Singing by Miss M. Storer.
To which will be added,
The Citizen.
To begin exactly at 7 o'clock. Vivant Rex & Regina. Tickets
to be had at Hugh Gaine's, at the Bible and Crown, in
Hanover-Square, and of John Partridge, at the Theatre, and
of Miss Cheer, at Mrs. Allen's, in Bateaux-Street. The days
of performance, for the remainder of the season, will be
Mondays, and Thursdays.
