By permission of his Excellency the Governor. For the
benefit of Miss Hallam. By the American Company. At the
Theatre in John-Street, on this present evening, the 8th of
May, 1769, will be presented, a tragedy, call'd,
Romeo and Juliet.
Romeo, by Mr. Hallam.
Juliet to be attempted by Miss Hallam.
With the funeral procession of Juliet, to the monument of
the Capulets: and a solemn dirge.
In the masquerade scene, a minuet, by a gentleman (for his
amusement) and Miss Hallam.
To which will be added,
Thomas and Sally, or The Sailor's Return.
Sally by Miss Hallam.
To conclude with a country dance, by the characters.
The house, for that night, will be illuminated with wax. To
begin exactly at 7 o'clock. Vivant Rex & Regina.
