London.  April 14 [Account of an election]  The whole was
conducted with great tranquility and regularity.  After the
poll was over, a number of horsemen, with colours flying,
and music playing, attended by several thousand people, went
through St. James's-street, the Strand, and over London-
bridge to the King's-Bench, to congratulate Mr. Wilkes on
his success. . . [2 more paragraphs] At night the
inhabitants of all the principal streets illuminated their
houses, the bells of several churches were rung. . . .
