Extract of a letter from the Camp at Cambridge, Nov. 11,
1775.
The enemy yesterday received a reinforcement of 2,900 men. .
. [4 lines] I this day was a spectator of a heavy cannonade,
and a smart discharge of small arms, occasioned by about 300
of the Regulars landing on Litchmere's Point, in order to
take off some cattle, they discovered there. As soon as
they had embarked, our drums beat to arms, and the lines
were manned. From Prospect Hill, which completely commanded
the view, we watched their motions, . . .
