Sir, the following piece of history, [extracted from a
book, printed in Dublin 1746, entitled Memoirs of the most
Remarkable Military Transactions from the year 1683, to
1718. . . contains so striking a likeness of late affair of
great importance to the American states. . . [2 columns, in
the middle of the second, the following:] So he [Bousfliers]
was obliged to treat with the Elector of Bavaria, and to
sign the following capitulation, viz. That he, with the
garrison, should on the 26th instant march out of the
Breach, with drums beating, colours flying, six pieces of
cannon, and as many covered waggons. . .
