Friendly letters of caution and advice, to officers of the
army, particularly subalterns. . . [a continuation of weekly
letters, this one on the dangers of idleness. In 2d column,
this advice:] If you are a practitioner on any musical
instrument, you will find much pleasure and amusement from
it. This, after you are fatigued with your other studies,
you will find admirable in unbending and refreshing your
mind; after a little time spent with this, you will return
