Boston, September 18. Wednesday last arrived here from
Louisbourgh, his majesty's ship the Captain, commanded by
Capt. Amherst, who had the chief command of his majesty's
land forces in the late successful expedition against Cape
Breton;--He was received and congratulated upon his arrival
here, with the respect and esteem due to so brave a
commander:--The guns at Castle William, and those on the
batteries in this town and at Charlestown, were discharged
on this occasion, and the bells of the town rung . . .
