By permission of his honour the lieutenant-governor. For
the benefit of Mr. Hallam. By a company of comedians. At
the new theatre in Chaple-Street, this day, being the 8th of
March, will be presented, a comedy, written by Congreve,

Love for Love. With the humours of Ben the Sailor.
The part of Valentine, to be perform'd, by Mr. Douglass,
the part of Ben the Sailor, (with a song in character) to be
perform'd, by Mr. Hallam,
and the part of Angelica, to be perform'd by Mrs. Douglass.
To which will be added, (by particular desire) a pantomime
entertainment, in grotesque characters, call'd
Harlequin Collector: or, The Miller Deceiv'd.
In which is introduced the celebrated skeleton scene, taken
from the Royal Chase: or, Merlin's Cave. The character of
Harlequin, to be perform'd by Mr. Hallam, and the character
of the clown, to be perform'd, by Mr. Douglass.
To begin exactly at 6 o'clock.
Tickets to be had of H. Gaine, printer, bookseller and
stationer, at the Bible & Crown, in Hanover-Square, and of
Mr. Hallam, at his lodgings, in Nassau Street.
Boxes 8s. Pit 5s. Gallery 3s.
There are partitions made to divide the side boxes, from one
another, and thereby render them more commodious for select
companies. The ladies and gentlemen, who choose to have
boxes reserved for them, are desired to send to Mr. Hallam.
The ceremony of waiting on ladies and gentlemen at their
houses with bills, has been for some time left off in this
company; the frequent solicitations on these occasions,
having been found rather an inconvenience to the person so
waited on, than a complement; for which reason, Mr. Hallam
hopes the town will dispense with a personal application,
and favour him with their company.
