By permission of his honour the lieutenant-governor. For
the benefit of Mrs. Hallam. By a company of comedians. At
the new theatre in Chaple-Street, this day, being the 29th
of March, will be presented, a comedy, written by Capt.
Farquhar, call'd,
The Inconstant: or the Way to Win Him.
The part of Mirabel, to be perform'd by Mr. Hallam, The
part of Old Mirabel, to be perform'd by Mr. Morris, and The
part of Bissard, to be perform'd by Mrs. Douglass.
To which will be added, a farce, (not acted here these eight
years) call'd
Miss in Her Teens: or, The Medley of Lovers.
The part of Captain Flash to be perform'd by Mr. Hallam,
Captain Lovet, by Mr. Tomlinson, and The part of Miss
Biddy, to be perform'd by Mrs. Hallam.
To begin exactly at 6 o'clock.
Tickets to be had of H. Gaine, printer, bookseller and
stationer, at the Bible & Crown, in Hanover-Square, and of
Mrs. Hallam at her lodgings in Nassau Street.
There are partitions made to divide the side boxes, from one
another, and thereby render them more commodious for select
companies. The ladies and gentlemen, who choose to have
boxes reserved for them, are desired to send to Mrs. Hallam.
The ceremony of waiting on ladies and gentlemen at their
houses with bills, has been for some time left off in this
company; the frequent solicitations on these occasions,
having been found rather an inconvenience to the person so
waited on, than a complement; for which reason, Mrs. Hallam
hopes the town will dispense with a personal application,
and favour him with their company.
