From the London Chronicle, Nov.4. While the theatres are
celebrating, a ridiculous jubilee, in commemoration of a
dead deer-stealer, the patriots have lately enjoyed the
exalted satisfaction of celebrating a nobler Jubilee in
honour of a live patriot. . . [5 more lines] about six
o'clock in the evening, the streets being illuminated, the
bells ringing, bonfires blazing, taps running, with every

Suttling-house of the Lumber-Troop, in the ward of
Farringdon-Without, of which John Wilkes, Esq, is the
rightful alderman. . . [29 lines describing participants in

passed. . . [10 more lines] A triumphal car, containing the
best of Mr. Wilkes, drawn by the members of the Beef steak
Club, singing Mr. Wilkes's parody on Veni Creator. . . [13
