From the Morning Chronicle. The following is inserted as a
curious specimen of the literary abilities of the Duke of
Cu----l-nd; being one of the letters of his Royal Highness
during his late amour with Lady Grosvenor.
My dear little Angel, I wrote my last letter to you
yesterday, at eleven o'clock just when we sailed I dined at
two o'clock and as for the afternoon I had some music I have
my own servant on board that plays and a couple of hands
from London for the six weeks I am out---. . . [much more
about his love for her] I have been reading for about an
hour this morning in Prior[ ] and find this few lines just
now applicable to us
Now oft had Henry changed his sly disguise,
Unmarked by all but beautous Harriets eyes;
Oft had found means alone to see the Dame,
And at her feet to breath his am'rous flame:
