The company consisted of clerks, hair-dressers, shoemakers, taylors, and second-hand gamblers; all choice spirits. The ladies were chiefly from the hundreds of Drury-lane. The characters exhibited were shepherds and shepherdesses, dust-men, poets, chimney- sweepers, &c. They danced till twelve, and sat down to supper at one. . . |
