Theatre. For the benefit of Mr. and Mrs. Douglass. By
permission of his Excellency the Governor. By the American
Company, at the Theatre in John Street, this present
evening, the 14th of June, will be presented, the tragical
history of
King Richard III.
Continuing the distresses and death of King Henry VI, in the
Tower; the usurpation of the throne by Richard; the fall of
the Duke of Buckingham; the murder of the young Princes; the
landing of the Earl of Richmond, (afterwards King Henry VII)
at Milford; and the death of Richard, in the decisive Battle
of Bosworth Field, which put an end to the contention
between the Houses of York and Lancaster: With many other
historical passages.
