Theatre. For the benefit of Mr. and Mrs. Morris. By
permission of his Excellency the Governor. By the American
Company, at the Theatre in John Street, this present
evening, the 28th of June, will be presented, a tragedy,
call'd, Tamerlane The Great; or the Fall of Bajazet, Emperor
of the Turks. Bajazet, by Mr. Hallam, Tamerlane, by Mr.
Douglass, Moneses, by Mr. Goodman, Axalla, by Mr. Wall,
Omar, by Mr. Henry, Dervise, by Mr. Morris, Haly, By Mr.
Byerley, Prince of Tenais, by a gentleman, (being his first
appearance) Mirvan , by Mr. Blackler, Zama, by Mr. Parker,
Selima, by Miss Hallam, Arpasia, by Mrs. Morris, singing,
by Mr. Woolls, dancing, by Mr. Francis. The Prologue to the
comedy of the author, by Mr. Blackler. After the play, an
occasional epilogue, by Mrs. Morris. To which will be
added, a new comedy of two acts, never performed in America,
call'd, The Irish Widow. Sir Patrick O'Neal, by Mr. Goodman,
Kecksey, by Mr. Morris, Whistle, by Mr. Byerley, Neptune, by
Mr. Wall, Bates, by Mr. Blackler, Thomas, by Mr. Parker,
Pompey, by Mr. Dermot, The Irish Widow, (with a song in
character) by Mrs. Morris. Tickets to be had of Mr. Gaine,
in Hanover-Square; at the Theatre; of Mr. Ryan, in Broadway.
