City of New-York, John Thorp, of the city of New-York, being
duly sworn, deposeth and saith, that about six weeks ago,
passing the house of John Grigg, tanner, in the Out-ward of
said city, wherein there was a noise of singing, &c. he
heard the following toast drank in the said house, viz. God
save the King and Parliament, and damn the Congress.  And
further saith not. Sworn before me, the 22d Sept. 1775. B.
