In consequence of the above recited important intelligence
this town was illuminated in the evening in a very pleasant
manner. A Band of Music was also posted in the balcony of
the British Coffee House, which played "God Save the King,"
and many other favourite pieces amidst the joyful and
repeated acclamations of a great number of inhabitants.
