Yesterday an excellent charity sermon was preached at St.
George's Chapel, by the Rev. Dr. Inglis, where a large
collection was made for the benefit of the Charity School in
this city; and next Sunday, weather permitting, another
charity sermon will be preached at St. Paul's, for the like
laudable purpose. N.B. The school consists of 86 scholars,
viz. 56 boys, and 30 girls. The children are instructed in
the principles of the Christian religion, and in psalmody;
they constantly attend Divine Service at church, on week
days as well as Sundays, and the greatest attention is paid
to their morals. . . [33 more lines describing curriculum
and urging generous donations.]
