[A detailed description of the celebration at West Point of
the birth of a Dauphin--the edifice erected, the firing of
the canon, etc. In col.3]. . . The entertainment was nobly
hospitable, and the fine music which breathed all the while
from the orchestra, added a new relish to the repast. After
dinner, thirteen toasts, particularly adapted to the
festival, were drank, under a discharge of 13 cannon each,
accompanied with that martial music which attunes the soul
to rapture, and inspires the breast with every elevated
