The following extract of a letter (found on board a prize
lately taken) from Dr. Chandler, late of Elizabeth-town, in
New-Jersey, to Mr. Odell, late of Burlington, will shew,
among other things, the great dependence our enemies had on
their friend General Burgoyne. . . [26 lines]
If you like the rapidity of motion in a general, Burgoyne
is your man. He is our present hero; for him the trumpet of
victory is uplifted; and his fame is now echoing from all
parts of this Kingdom.
