London, October 2. Yesterday his Majesty and their Royal
Highnesses the Duke and Princesses, were at the Chapel Royal
at St. James's, and heard a sermon preach'd by the Rev. Dr.
Regis. At the same time a new Te Deum was perform'd on his
Majesty's safe arrival, and the following anthem, the musick
of which was compos'd by Dr. Greene.
ANTHEM.
Psalm 9,
verse I. I will give thanks unto thee, O Lord, with my
whole heart: I will speak of all thy marvellous works.
verse 2. I will be glad and rejoyce in thee: yea, my songs
will I make of thy name,O thou most Highest.
verse 4. For thou hast maintained my right and my cause:
thou art set in the throne that judgest right.
Psalm 126,
verse 4. Thou, O Lord, hast done great things for us
already: whereof we rejoyce.
Psalm 21,
verse I. The King shall rejoyce in thy strength, O Lord:
exceeding glad shall he be of thy salvation.
verse 5. His honour is great in thy salvation: Glory and
great worship shalt thou lay upon him.
verse 6. For thou shalt give him everlasting felicity: and
make him glad with the joy of thy countenance.
verse 8. All thine enemies shall feel thy hand: thy right
hand shall find out them that hate thee.
verse 13. Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength: so
will we sing and praise thy power.
