Boston, June 25. By a person who was master of a vessel
lately taken by the French at Canso we are inform'd, that
'twas on the 14th of May last, just about break of day, when
the French came against that place. . . [13 lines] The
Indians were very desirous of going ashore to destroy all
the English people, and would have done it, but were
prevented by the French commander. After the French had got
possession of the block house, they went to Mass, singing Te
Deum, etc. . . [15 lines]
