Extract of a private letter from Oudenard, July 6.
On the 5th of this month a French trumpet arriv'd at
Tournay, to summon, as it is said that town to surrender,
without defence; . . . [9 lines] On the 6th he sent a
hautboy to his rigiment to acquaint Prince Maurice of Nassau
of what had since passed and his Excellency immediately
conducted him to Duke Aremberg's quarters, from whence he is
to set out this morning to join his regiment, which is
encamped in a wood along the Scheld, . . . [26 lines]
