Citation | PC.767.083 27 Apr-4 May 1767:583 (1/15) A letter from Paris, dated Feb. 14, says, For a long time past the Ambassadors at this court, has formed pretensions of going to the ball at the opera house with swords by their sides, after the example of Princes of the Blood. The ministers for the department of foreign affairs, have just determined this point in their favour; in consequence of which, two Ambassadors went lately to the ball to take possession of this prerogative. |
