The 12th of August the King of Denmark arrived in England;
he came to St. James's in a post-chariot, so as not to be
known to the populace: after which great joy was made all
over the city. He has since appeared in public, to satisfy
the people's curiosity, and goes every day in state from his
apartments in St. James's, to dine with the nobility, at
their respective houses; his other time is take up in seeing
the curiosities and diversions, having been at Vauxhall,
Ranelagh, and the Opera: After which he intends taking a
tour of England, and sets out first for Bath and Bristol,
and then to York races. . .
