Yesterday evening a large body of freeholders who had polled for Mr. Serjeant Glynn, returned to town from Brentford, preceded by a pair of colours with "Glynn and Liberty, " on them, and a band of music. They passed through St. James's street, by the palace, in a peaceable manner, and along Pall-Mall, though Fleet-street, &c. Some persons in the Strand illuminated their houses on his success, but none in the city. |
