Authentic Memoirs of the Counts Struensee and De Brandt, . .
. [1 3/4 column giving life history of two men involved with
the Queen of Denmark's downfall, including the following
references:]
This is the sketch of the character of a man [Struensee]
more justly lamented for his downfal and catastrophe, than
censured for his crimes and vices. The unfeeling Juliana
obliged the insensible Monarch, whilst the tragedies of his
friends and favourites were acting, to assist at an Italian
Opera.
Enevoldt de Brandt. . . [6 lines] As a polite education
was more calculated for a gentleman of his sprightliness,
than the laborious study of German compilations, he went to
Berlin, where he distinguished himself in the arts of
fencing, dancing and horsemanship.-- His taste for music, in
which he became a proficient, made him fond of plays and
operas. After which he spent commonly part of the night
with some favourite actress. . .
