By a gentleman just arrived from St. Brieux in Britanny, we are informed that the celebrated dramatic author, who lately absconded for a detestable attempt, was found dead near Dol, by the monks of a monastery near that place. A considerable sum of money found upon him, became the property of the Holy fathers. It was said, that he had poisoned himself, and the some writings found cause the discovery. |
