We hear that on Wednesday evening last, there was
disturbance at the gallery door of the theatre, where [the]
doorkeepers were greatly abused in the execution of their
office, and with much difficulty seized two of the rioters
who were lodged for the night in the work-house, and on
examination, next morning, before a magistrate were by him
committed to the gaol of this city. It is to be hoped this
example will deter those from such practices for the future,
who think themselves licensed to disturb the peace of
society, where and when they please.
