Paris, Octo. 18. Monsieur Olivier, Director of the Royal
Manufacture of Earthen Ware erected about 100 years ago at
Montpellier, has brought to Fontainbleau, for the King, a
[?]del of about three feet over, and a service consisting of
a sort of baskets of a new and different make, and of the
common size for serving up fruit, the whole made up of very
fine earth, in imitation of the best china curiously
painted.
He has likewise brought for the Dauphin and the Duke of
Anjou, a coach and a berlin, with eight horses each, whose
harness and reins are made of blue silk twist, with little
metal buckles. . . [5 lines] a wind-mill, a Troop of Horse,
with the Guidon, kettle-drummer, trumpet, hautbois and
bassoon; a company of foot, with their ensign; one of the
King's grooms dressing a managed horse, and a courier
carrying a letter to his Majesty.
