July 30. We hear from Shrewsbury, that on Monday last there
was try'd, at the Assizes there, before Mr. Justice Lee, the
great cause of Williams and Williams (being the third trial
between the parties) which lasted 12 hours, when the jury,
which were special, and consisted of gentlemen of the first
rank in the county, brought in a verdict for the legitimacy
of the plaintiff, who is niece to Mr. Jones of the Royal
Vineyard in St. James's Park, on which there depended a
considerable estate in Carmarthenshire. There were very
great rejoicings among the people of the town by ringing of
bells, and other marks of joy for the young lady's success .
