London, June 8. . . The same courier also brought letters
from the French at Bozzolo, importing, that the Imperial
Army having attempted to penetrate into Parma, their first
column was attacked by Mons. de Coigny near Colorno, where,
after a smart engagement, the Germans having lost therein
1200 men, were oblig'd to retreat with precipitation.
Whereupon his Excellency the Spanish Ambassador, to give God
thanks for such a series of happy success, caused Te Deum to
be sung on Tuesday in his Chappel at Powis House, and
afterwards to Richmond to communicate the said news to the
court.
