London, February 7. We hear from Flanders and from Holland
of a violent storm of lightening, thunder, hail, snow and
rain mix'd together, which happen'd the 3d instant, . . . At
Nivelles, a small town about six or seven leagues from
Brussels, that the lightening had set fire to the tower of
the great church, as also that many houses, together with
the church and steeple, had been burnt to the ground by the
same means at Arendock, a village scituate in the district
of Antwerp. The cross upon the tower of Deurne was likewise
burnt, the bells melted and the organs spoil'd, but the
church was preserv'd.
